At HAIR, the health and well-being of our salons, Artists and guests is always a top priority. We are deeply concerned for everyone who has been impacted by the COVID-19 virus and we sincerely hope that you and your loved ones are staying well at this time.

As always, hygiene standards are of utmost importance to us and we are monitoring current CDC guidelines closely to help ensure that we are taking all necessary precautions to help protect you and our community.

Policy and Procedures

Please note appointment wait times will be longer than normal as we navigate our extensive waitlist.


Upon arriving for your scheduled appointment:

Our doors will be locked.
Please wait in your car or outside the front of the salon, we are limited to the number of guests permitted in the salon. Your stylist will come out, or text you when it is safe for you to enter, before entering your stylist will do a covid-19 wellness check. For everyone's safety please answer the questions honestly and truthfully.

Due to limits on the number of guests permitted in our space please arrive for your appointment alone. Unless a caregiver is required. This includes family units with multiple appointments. Everyone is required to wear a mask.

There will be hand sanitizer at the front door and at every station. Please use them upon entering and before beginning your appointment. If you need to alter your mask, we ask that you hand sanitize after. Alternatively, you can wash your hands in the washroom.

Masks are mandatory to enter the salon.

Masks must be worn for the entire duration of your appointment. We will also be wearing PPE to ensure everyone’s safety. Please bring a mask that goes behind your ears. As we will not be able to complete your service if your mask ties behind your head. If you do not have a mask, we have disposable masks available at our cost of $2.00.

Please note masks must fully cover your mouth and nose for the duration of your visit.

Cancelation policy:

Please note we require 24 hours notice for cancellations. Failure to provide notice will result in a 50% charge of service to be performed. Simply not showing up will result in a 100% charge of the total scheduled service. Due to the demand for appointments, this policy will be fully enforced and must be paid prior to any future appointments being completed or scheduled.

If you are sick. experiencing any covid-19 symptoms, have been around anyone with a confirmed or suspected case of covid 19, or are generally feeling unwell, please stay home. We will reschedule your appointment. This keeps everyone safe and healthy!


 

Symptoms of COVID-19 can vary from person to person. Symptoms may also vary in different age groups. Some of the more commonly reported symptoms include:

  • new or worsening cough

  • shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

  • temperature equal to or over 38°C

  • feeling feverish

  • chills

  • fatigue or weakness

  • muscle or body aches

  • new loss of smell or taste

  • headache

  • gastrointestinal symptoms (abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting)

  • feeling very unwell

Children have been more commonly reported to have abdominal symptoms, and skin changes or rashes.

In severe cases, infection can lead to death.

Symptoms may take up to 14 days to appear after exposure to COVID-19.

Recent evidence indicates that the virus can be transmitted to others from someone who is infected but not showing symptoms. This includes people who:

  • have not yet developed symptoms (pre-symptomatic)

  • never develop symptoms (asymptomatic)

Accurate appointments:

If you are looking to change, add or alter your appointment please do so before you are in the chair. We do not want you to be disappointed. We will not be able to make changes on the fly due to appointment timing and availability.

We kindly ask you the bring the bare minimums with you to your appointment, this includes one personal item, car keys and a payment method.

As per public health guidelines we are currently not offering any services on your face, including beard trims and facial waxing.

At this time, we are not able to offer any walk in services. If you do not have an appointment, please call and schedule an appointment (519) 797-1100.

We will temporarily be suspending Aveda rituals, magazines, beverage services, use of our iPad and charging cords, as well as toys for children.

We have WIFI you are welcome to use on your personal device.

Online bookings will not be available until further notice.


Retail:

Please call us and we will get your purchase ready for you. You can pay over the phone and we will bring your sanitized purchase to you outside. If you need to use debit you are required to wear a mask to enter the salon.

We ask that you do not touch the retail shelves or product, one of our staff members would be happy to assist you.


We know your hair is important to you, it is important to us too! We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work hard to get you scheduled in!

Please note our salon does not offer color services to anyone under the age of 16. Anyone persons aged 16 - 18 requires parental / legal guardian consent before any color service will be preformed. 

 
 Cancellation Policy: 

At HAIR we understand that life happens and in some instances, cancellations are unavoidable. If you find yourself unable to keep an appointment, please provide at least 24 hours notice.  


Missed appointments or appointments cancelled without 24 hours notice will be charged at 50% of the scheduled service at next appointment.

Failure to provide notice and no show appointments will be charged in full before any future appointments can be booked.
